Application Development and The Windows NT Operating System (AD102)

Windows NT is perpetually in the news. In terms of a client-side operating system, it continues to gain significant mind-share in the corporate environment. This course provides the application developer with an appreciation of, and ability to use, the various components comprising the operating system. The focus is to enable them to understand how to develop applications using NT, and how application design may affect the operations, administration, and maintenance of both applications and NT.

C++ Programming (AD211)

The C++ language is one of the most widespread development languages on the server platform. This course focuses on teaching the C++ language, concentrating on teaching class creation, the implementation of OO concepts within the language, and the program compilation and debugging process. OO concepts of themselves are not taught in this course (see OO100).

Visual Basic Advanced Concepts (AD230)

Building on the content of AD130, this course focuses on database access and the development of ActiveX custom controls. At the end of the course, attendees will be able to build reusable components using VB 6.0 and integrate them with existing and new applications. Access to data stored in relational databases through the ODBC protocol is also included and attendees will get hands-on experience in defining the connectivity and managing access within programs.

Networking Essentials (TI100)

This course provides application developers with a background of the Windows NT environment and the essentials of networking. The material discusses application design and interaction with the Windows NT environment.
