Application Objects, Incorporated (AOI) provides technical courses to organizations to provide specialist training in object-oriented technologies, client/server architecture, database analysis and design, distributed systems development, and systems management.
This catalog outlines the current course offerings available from AOI in the arena of object-oriented technologies.
Our objectives in providing technical education are primarily to provide the benefit of our knowledge and expertise to customers. Each course lecturer is an active consultant that has been made available to teach the course through the goodwill of the client with whom they are currently working.
Our range of courses contains a consistent set of meaningful examples and laboratories. The focus of these laboratory exercises is the development of a single, working application. In this way, participants on several courses see the component parts as they relate to that course. For example, participants on our PowerBuilder™ and Oracle PL/SQL classes see two different parts of the same application, facilitating the process of learning how the parts of a complex application work together. Every participant receives the complete application, including components from our other courses. This complete application can then be installed and used at their sites.
Each course has been designed to be a single, self-contained learning opportunity. Wherever possible, the prerequisites have been kept to a minimum. In this way, organizations can elect to implement just in time training, focusing on only those particular technologies of interest to the participants.
AOI's Courses are normally held in training rooms at AOI's Cincinnati office. On-site training is available for clients who have appropriate training facilities and who meet minimum attendance requirements.
