The first in a series of educational offerings surrounding Oracle, this course provides a detailed description of the procedural language extensions developed by Oracle and included within their environment. A keyword for this course is the practical application and experience with these extensions. Course Description This course provides an overview to the Procedural Language Extensions to Structured Query Language (PL/SQL) as it pertains to the Oracle relational database management system (RDBMS) environment. Course content includes describing the capabilities of PL/SQL and applying it to some real-world examples, with hands-on exercises to support the class. Topics include an introduction to PL/SQL, benefits of PL/SQL, manipulating data with PL/SQL, flow of execution control, controlling SQL statement processing, exception processing and procedures and functions. Audience Objectives Prerequisites Relational Database Concepts (DB100) and SQL Programming (DB102) or equivalent background.
